06_11_2012 Sheetrock Slackers! Cool Window!

Today was one of those days. We all waited anxiously for the sheetrock crew to show. Calvin and Manny worked to get the skylights framed and the new awesome bedroom window put in. This needed to be done for the sheet rocking. We also waited for the city inspector. After some calls, Chris finally learned the sheetrocker wasn't coming!?!?! He decided to come Tuesday instead, but he didn't tell us. :/ Oh well. C'est la vie. So, today was spent getting lots of important smaller items accomplished around the house. All good stuff, but clearly nothing was a cool as the new bedroom window. Dave had such a great idea to have it installed. The inspector did come and was very excited about our foam. *snicker* But I have to admit, I get excited about some pretty odd things myself so it's all good. :) The sheetrock guy then went ahead and had the sheetrock delivered today. That way the installation can begin at 8am sharp. Should be a cool day where lots of things will really take shape. We think they'll be done Friday (taping/floating/texturing) so Monday may begin with the installation of kitchen cabinets. Cool! So while it wasn't as planned, it's okay. The house is looking great!
