Dave does St. Louis, take one...

Dave came to St. Louis to spend Valentine's Day. The weather wasn't very cooperative so we didn't get out much. We did, of course, go to the Arch on the windiest day I can recall.

That thing was swaying so much we walked like drunk people on top. The 'officials' even announced that the top was moving quite a bit so folks who wouldn't like that wouldn't be in for an unanticipated, unpleasant experience! It was wild.

The Arch offers so many really excellent photography opportunities. It is quite impressive. The film about how it was made is a must-see. And riding the wacky "eggs" to the top (they call them 'trams') is fun since one can see the structure inside the legs of the Arch. It's a real engineering marvel.

Another stop was the City Museum. This is one of the wackiest and most fun places anywhere. I'm unaware of another place like it. For more about it, see: http://www.citymuseum.org/home.asp. If you are ever in St. Louis, and want some fun playground like activity (age doesn't matter), go there. There is even a bar to quench any thirst stirred up. Nice.
