11_2012 Dave stops in Kolob Canyon UT en route to Vegas
Yes, this is totally out of order. Oh well. I was in Chicago and Dave drove out to Vegas before Thanksgiving. En route, he stopped at Kolob Canyon in Utah.
This area is near Cedar Cedar UT. Really beautiful. The weather was miserable, but Dave hiked in anyway to get some exercise and in hopes of finding a nice photo opportunity.
He hiked and hiked. The weather was terrible. Finally, after 45 minutes on a rough, scrabbly hike to a ridge, the sky opened, a rainbow appeared and the scene was beautiful.
He got in some awesome shots! Enough to get a panorama of the scene. Beautiful stuff.
Afterwards, he hiked out and finished the trip to Vegas.
