3_21 to 26_2016 Mom and Rachel come to Boulder

Rachel and Mom made a visit to Boulder in March. It was a fun time though I regret I didn't get more photos. Happily piecing together all of our photos offers a glimpse into what we did.

Pick up at DIA went well. Plus, I was happy to see they've installed all sorts of photo op set ups in the airport. Stupid, but I like them!
It was a bit travel day for them both so we partied like this! :)
As always, a trip to Celestial Seasonings was in order. The best part of this tour is wearing the hair nets. Everyone laughs and points at each other then takes photos. Not only is it fun, but no one ends up with hair in their tea. That's a good thing.
Lovely!
We did some shopping on Pearl Street too. Lots of fun to be had there.
This is a favorite. Mom is touching the moving dinosaur. Note the signage!
More napping by the cat and mom.
Who can resist the awesome masks at a store in Denver on the 16th Street Mall? Not us.  Rachel as a horse.
Mom is picking seeds from her hands.

Callie is a pest. Duh.
We headed down the 16th street mall to the Brown Palace. I love getting afternoon tea there.
Great venue, fun people watching, and really nice tea service.
Oh, and champagne. :)
Yum!
The desserts were a bit overly sweet imo.
In other areas, the competition to peel clementines in one piece was fierce. Mom won this one.
No one comes to our state these days without being curious about the Medical Care Stores. (Nice euphemism, eh?).  Here is mom showing a tub of creme for arthritis and achy joints. It is not a THC product, but one that contains CBD which is a non-psychoactive ingredient.
They arrived on a beautiful day...the following day it started snowing and didn't stop for some time. I think we ended up with about 2'.  Lots of shoveling, sweeping and scraping as a result.
We did get out to the Spa for facials.
Snowing....It had stopped by the time they left, but they got a good dose of how we can get summer one day (80s) and snow the next (30s). That sort of bipolar weather has continued this season with our final snow (I hope) being in May. Bleck!
