I was sitting at the dining room table watching the excellent bird activity while Dave ran to the store. I was looking forward to him returning so he could see ALL of the Pine Siskins on the back feeders.
He walked in and I said "look at these birds" to which he responded "I have a better bird!!!" Out front, in the tree right next to the front door was a beautiful Saw-Whet Owl.
Dave managed to get some really nice photos of him. We saw him leave that evening to hunt and he hasn't returned. What a treat to have him here even for the day!
