Dad came to Boulder for a visit. He said he didn't care what we did - that everything would be fine. So, we spent his time doing things that he's never done (and I doubt he'd do for himself).
Here we are at a nice day Spa in Boulder. He doesn't know it, but he's heading in for a Gentleman's Facial, following by a pedicure. Two firsts.
He loved both. He took some razzing from a few neanderthal's on facebook. Clearly those men had never indulged like this. They'd sing a different tune if they had!
We spent some time at the house as well. Here dad is decorating some of his stuff with Pente stickers.
Pente kept a close eye on him.
One night, we went to Efrains for some mexican food and strong margaritas.
He also made his first trip to the orchid nursery. I only went home with four new (tiny) orchids. It's such a luscious environment.
Then we headed to a farm animal sanctuary here in Boulder. It was fun to see these animals living the life of luxury.
Big lazy pigs enjoyed being pet.
This pig was snorting with joy at being pet.
We both liked the goats a lot. They are funny! (Especially when they are not on your property meaning you have to fix the fences all the time).
Stopped at a sidewalk cafe for some wine and a treat one afternoon.
We watched some excellent movies.
Enjoying down time.
The final day of his trip, we went into Denver. At my office, Nora Scanlon gave us both a lesson on instagram. Then we headed down the street to the Gorgeous Brown Palace where we had afternoon tea and champagne. Think it is his first afternoon tea. It was really fun!
Who cant enjoy that?!?!
We headed back down 16th Street Mall to Union Station. Dad hopped the train to the airport. I had not even had a chance to do this yet. It is a nice service.
And off he went. I think he enjoyed himself.
