We had a good time at the restaurant. It appears I may have gotten a little extra protein in the form of some worm. Hard to tell what kind it was...I can't see close up and Dave smushed it pretty quickly.
Chad flirting with the locals!
Not to be outdone, Grant flirted with one of the locals. No luck for either guy.
Pente improved during the 8 days there...
The Cougar is comfy! Monkey jamies are comfy!
Our hummingbird feeders turned out to offer tons of fun. A male Rufous Hummingbird showed up then fiercely defended the territory for the duration of the trip. He was aggressive! One evening 5-6 hummingbirds were battling around the two feeders we set up. We never got the local Cassin's Finch to come of our feeders, but the Pine Siskins did show up. Great fun!
One a rest day, I provided heat for the cat and finally finished reading Macur's "Cycle of Lies". Great book. Fascinating tales about pro cycling.
We did get out to climb about 4 days. Other days were rest days and sadly we got rained out a couple days too.
Dave heads up something.
Off I go crimping on sharp limestone.
Our experiential learner is at it again. Yes, it does hurt to do this.
Fun days climbing and grubbing in the dirt.
We spent some time at Hound Dog wall. There were some nice climbs there too. Too bad this place doesn't have greater density of climbing.
View of the canyon from the wall. You can see the road in the bottom right of the photo.
Dave heads up a fun 10b trad like climb at Hound Dog. A nice climb.
Having fun
I was next. Great climb with some burning calves as a bonus near the top.
Callie heading up an 11c.
Hanging out - getting shoes ready for the next crushing of a classic. :)
Cleaning his 1,000 year old Stingers. :)
And off he goes.
Hanging out
Met a nice couple from Vegas. Fun watching them climb too.
Dave with a great view of the canyon.
