02_2013 Woodworking around the House
In this photo, you can see the exciting finished shoe rack project below the sunglasses cubicles. While a very simple project, I must say it has been quite gratifying to clean up the usual shoe mess in the foyer :)
The next project was to build a solid oak CD cabinet to hold all of the discs that had previously been in two very 1980s style rotary CD cabinets.
This project required some fairly precise routing and assembly to create a nice finish and fit, as well as keeping everything square.
Many man-cave tools were required to properly build this cabinet. :)
It was a fun project and once mounted, was quite an improvement in that corner in our living room.
The new cabinet looks much better than the old black towers, takes up less room and is easier to access CDs.
Yippee!
