Things are slowing to a reasonable pace these days so I thought I'd put a few more photos and mention what we did on wedding day. The photos will be in random order - still to busy to figure that out now!
In the morning, several of us met in Boulder and proceeded to road bike up to Jamestown. Dave had a silver sparkly top hat and I have a veil attached to our helmets as we all road. Responses to this became quite funny - I became the "Ohhhh" girl. People would see Dave and say something like "Happy birthay" or "Party" or just stare (plus many seemed oblivious which is funny). Then I'd come along and they'd see me and all go "Ohhhhh".
When we arrived at Jamestown, our family members were waiting for us at the Mercantile Cafe. It was a pretty day and hopefully they all had fun experiencing a funky little mountain town in the area. After several photos, everyone headed back to the Boulder area to get ready for the actual wedding.
The weather was iffy - it'd been iffy for months. Still, aside from some threatening thunder during the brief ceremony, and a little bit of rain immediately after, it was nice.
We didn't go anywhere for a honeymoon - guests were still in town and we both had a lot of work going on. The second weekend following the ceremony, we were to do a bike tour through the mountains of Colorado - Five passes, 320 miles. The weather was still so bad that we opted instead to drive to South Dakota to climb in the Needles for a 'mini-moon'. We'll figure out something for the real thing in the fall. Next post - Needles of SD!
